So why is it still so difficult for parents to find flexible work arrangements?

While these companies offer flextime to employees, they don’t necessarily advertise openings as flextime.  Some of the advertised positions may be able to be performed flexibly, but they often look like traditional full-time jobs when advertised.

And, many jobs (full- or part-time) are never advertised or listed with recruitment or employment agencies. Although it seems easier to answer ads, directly mail targeted companies and contact recruiters, the truth is that close to 75% of people find full or part-time work through networking.  Networking is a pro-active skill that you can learn.  However, it requires you to have some clarity about your desired direction.
